HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR DEEGAN!

                                                     I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ARE 3!
Where has the time gone! We have loved watching you learn and grow. There is never a dull moment when you are around. You always say the funniest things, and you always have a smile on you face. You are so sweet and kind. Some of your favorite things are the color orange, you love orange and you tell us almost every day. you always want to wear something orange. you love to ride your bike, read books, play in the dirt, jump on the tramp, go swimming, play tow trucks, semi's, tractors, buses, really anything that can wreck or get stuck in the mud so you can pull it out with your tow truck. you love to be outside doing anything. you have such a cute personality, I hope you never lose it. my favorite time is in the morning when you wake up and you will not get out of bed unless we come and get you, but you always ask "is it morning time?" and as soon as we say yes, you are up and going. or when it is time for bed, you always want to lay by dad or me and wrap your arms around us until you fall asleep. you have always been a cuddly boy and we love it! We love you so much.

Happy Happy Birthday....

 march is a crazy birthday month for us at this house. Especially today March 9th. We have 3 birthday's to celebrate, and 2 just at our house....

I can not believe you are 1! This year has gone by way too fast. Thinking back to the day you were born just blows my mind. Even though it was scary, crazy, and surprising, it was such an amazing day! You have never stopped surprising us. You amaze us every day with your strength. Some of your favorite things to do are, chase Deegan, be chased, play peek-a-boo, talk on the phone ( or anything you hold up to your ear), you love to tease Deegan, clap your hands, wave bye, and hi, you love to CLIMB on every thing, and blow kisses. You are a very sassy sassy girl, and you will let us know when you want something or if you don't like something. we are still trying to get used to the sass! :)    I love your determination to do all the things some people said you would never do. I also love to show it off, especially to those who said we should abort, or to those who said if we did not have fetal surgery your life would be horrible. Well I think this first year you have proved them all wrong. We can't imagine our lives without you! You bring so much happiness and joy into our home. You are our little miracle when we needed one. You have brought this family closer then it has even been before!

We could not celebrate this birthday without thanking our families and friends. We have been so blessed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the support, love, strength, and prayers. We could not have done any of this without you all! Thank you for supporting, and loving our Ally!

Happy Birthday to the most amazing husband/father there is! I could not have asked for a better best friend! You are truly amazing! Thank you for all that you do for us. Sorry I could not top your last birthday present. I know I will never be able to. but one day I hope I can come up with something amazing! So thankful you were born!

Happy Birthday to my sister Steph!  Thank you for always being there for me and our family. you are a great example to us! We hope you have a great birthday, and we CANT wait to SEE you in a few months!

Milestones

 

 We have hit some major milestones in our house the last few weeks.

This big boy is potty trained! yup he finally caught on. We didn't know if he was going to make it, but he proved us wrong. And I can honestly say it was not as hard as the last time I tried! I am in heaven not having to change him, or buy diapers. And even though we are so proud of him, we are a little sad because it just means he is growing up even more! Every one says it, but I am going to say it again- I wish time would slow down!

 Next is Ally bug. She has decided to start walking with her little walker. One day I stood her up there and she just took off! It was amazing. ( I couldn't get the video to load, but its on my Facebook) She is dragging her left leg slightly but she also just started to do this a few days ago. Her therapist was not supposed to come until the end of the month, but I called her to tell her what Ally was doing and now she is coming on Monday to check her out awesomeness and see if we can get her some different exercises to try and help. We have worked REALLY hard at getting her to move along the couches and nothing seemed to work. she would not budge, I would try to lift her legs for her and show her but she would have none of it. She is very stubborn and when she does not want to do something she will let you know. But after she tried walking once, its like something clicked and now that's all she wants to do. And we all LOVE it! We have bumped up her therapy sessions to twice a month. Her therapist really wants her to be walking by her birthday and is very confident that she can. so we are working really hard with her but we also don't want to push her too much. We know she will do it when she wants to. 

                                               HAPPY 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO US!

I can't believe it has been 5 years already. Now I know every women thinks their husband is the best and that's how it should be.  So since its our anniversary I will brag a little bit about mine. I can't even explain to you how amazing this man is, and how much he means to me! He is the most kind, loving, caring, hardworking, patient, selfless, confident, honest, sweet man I know. He puts his life on the line every day for strangers, and does not think twice about it. He is an amazing father, and husband. He makes me smile, and laugh every day. He gives me the confidence I need when I feel like I am failing in certain areas of my life. He has pulled our family together in some tough situations and I honestly don't know how he does it. It would be a lie if I told you my love has never changed for him, because it has in so many ways. It has gotten stronger and deeper. But there are some things that will never change, things like the way he makes me laugh, and goals and dreams that we only share together. 

What an amazing journey we have had together so far.  We have had some great trials and some amazing experiences. I know I would not want to share them with anyone else but you.  Thank you for being who you are and never changing. For helping me and showing me how to be a better person every day. For loving me the way you should! For never letting go of my hand when times were tough. For all of your hard work and never complaining. For being a great example to our children. I can't thank you enough for all that you have done and do for us. I am so excited and grateful that we get to spend eternity together. I cant wait to start another amazing year with you by my side. I know we will continue in this journey learning together just like we have so far. I am grateful for you! I love you!

2013

A little recap of 2013

 

Colby and I celebrated our 4th anniversary.

 

 

I had my first helicopter ride. not how I pictured my first helicopter ride but at least I can check it off my bucket list.

 

 

We celebrated Colby's 28th birthday with the birth of little miss Ally ray

 

 

 

 

 

We celebrated Deegan's 2nd birthday. 

 

 

we then celebrated my 28th birthday. yes the party never stops in march at this house.

 

 

We were able to enjoy Easter at home

 

 

 

we went on lots of picnics

 

 

we showed off this cute bum and carried this amazing machine around with us for 3 months. we finally got rid of it and celebrated the rest of the year.

we spent the summer outdoors every day, 

 

 

 

 

lots of camping trips

 

 

 

 lots and lots of swimming and water fun

 

 

 

 

 

 

played with cousins

 

 

went to a couple of fairs

 

 

enjoyed a trip to Jackson hole

 

 

 hit lots of milestones.

 

 

 

and that was just a little of what we did this year. 2013 has been an eventful, crazy, fun,  amazing year for our family, and it has been one of the best years yet. I cant imagine my life without these 3 crazy, fun, loving people. They make me crazy sometimes but they keep me going, and teach me to be a better person. I am blessed to be their mom and wife.
