Fishin the South Fork

Last weekend Colby, me, and his mom and dad headed out to fish the South Fork. For those of you who dont know where that is well i dont really either. I just know that you go through Alpine and around the big lake and there it is, and Jackson Hole is only an hour away! We got to camp at about 9:00 on Friday night and played games until we all went to bed. Saturday morning we got up and got everything packed and ready to go. i was so excited i had heard all of these stories about how beautiful this place was and what great fishing it is. we launched the boat and headed down the river. i was stunned... i sat and just looked at everything. there were a ton of houses along the river and they were huge and beautiful. We were on the river for about 9 hours. we would fish while we floated along the river then we would stop at a few places and get out and fish. you would think that it would get boring but really i could do it everyday of the week i did not get bored once. after we got off the river we headed back to camp and headed up to the dam for some more fishing. sunday morning we got up and got ready and headed off to Jackson Hole. We went up to one of the ski lodges and went down on some slides. i wish i would have got some pictures because i am not sure how to explain them. they were a blast tho. we then headed to Colbys favorite place to eat Bubba's! It was really good. so if your ever in Jackson stop and eat there you will love it. after lunch we headed out of Jackson and stopped to watch some of the rafters that were floating the snake. we saw a couple of people flip it was really funny. we didnt stay too long because it was so blasted hot and we were all sun burned from the day before. so we headed back to camp and loaded up and headed home. It was such a great weekend.. and i am finally glad that i got to go fishing this year. Fishing is one of my favorite outdoor activities that i love. i cant wait to go fishing again!
