then it all starts over the next day!
our days are great, we cant complain, we have so much and we are so blessed. i am so glad for those little phone calls that last only 2 minutes or just a text sent my way. oh when he comes home for the weekend and leaves little notes for me to find, it just makes my whole day! i am so grateful for the relationship we have and how open we are with each other. i am so glad that he has this oppurtunity. he is already changing so much. its funny some of the things they learn while they are up there. its not all about police stuff. they learn alot of family stuff too. i love hearing about what they learn and how to cope with it all the struggles, and situations they will face. i love that he tells me about it so that i can learn to cope with it all too. i love that he also teaches me how to defend myself in any type of situtaion. we will be attending a class together at his post that they give to police and their spouses. i am looking forward to it. i think it will be great. now i know a lot of you think that preston is just some small little town like what could happen there. well i used to think the same thing. but little do you know it is full of secrets and surprises. you might think it would be easy to be married to a cop. but the truth is its not. especially when you know what your husband is doing. for example undercover stuff, you never know whats going on, when you will hear from them, what will happen, and when you phone rings and its not him, you wonder, is it his boss, the hospital, a co-worker. you never know what will happen. but for all the stress and worrying that i go through, i would not change our lives in any way. He is so happy and loves his job and i would hate for him to hate his job and be miserable.
we are also so thankful for everyone who has supported us in this big decision and for supporting us through him being gone. i never feel too alone . i always have someone checking up on me, its not the same as it would be for him checking on me but it still feels great! So a big THANKS to everyone. especially our families, we LOVE you!
well thats our daily routine, we only have 7 weeks and 3 days left! and keep your fingers crossed and pray that the weather will be good this weekend so he can come home for a day! i need it!

ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! Glad you snagged such a great husband!!
ReplyDeleteHe is going to be an awesome cop, I bet it is hard having him gone all the time but well worth it in the end. If you need someone to talk to or text I'm free usually in the evenings!
