Were hitched a year ago today...
Everyone says the first year is the hardest year of a marriage. Well honestly i have to disagree, it was not hard at all. Everyone also says that is when the most fighting and yelling happens. Well i have to disagree there too. Colby and i dont yell. number one colby is not the yelling type, and to tell you all the truth we dont fight. sure we dont agree on everything but who does, and just cause we dont agree on something doesnt mean we have to fight about it. I know that people will say "thats just because you are still new to marriage, and just wait the fighting will happen". Well i have to disagree with that too. Everyone is different and all marriages are not the same, but thats my own opinion. and you can disagree if you want. 
Colby sent me these flowers at work on friday. I was really surprised since he does not have time to do anything and cannot leave the base. there are so pretty. there are like 60 buds all togehter. so some of them have bloomed but some have not. On saturday we went to the temple, then went to olive garden. it was yummy. then colby and i came home and watched a movie. today well we made breakfast and then got ready for church taught are classs came home had dinner then battle on the Wii. then colby headed back to post at 1:30. there is not much you can do on a sunday to celebrate, or when your husband is at post. but it was a great weekend, and i was just glad that we were able to spend some time together. i got colby cabelas big game hunter with the gun. i have a feeling it is going to be taking over our lives, so i might regret buying it. we have been so blessed this year and we are so thankful for all that we have. we made lots of memeories and traditions and we cant wait to make more throughout the many years to come. i am so thankful for colby and for all that his does for us. He makes me want to me strive to be a better person. we are excited for the many years to come and to take on whatever is thrown our way. 
i am glad you guys get along so well...you deserve everything good you have got Sheena I am proud of you guys and happy you have an awesome man that makes you happy:)
ReplyDeleteHey girl, Congrats on the first year down. I would totally have to agree with you on the fighting and stuff. We have been married for two and a half years and we have not had a fight yet. It is so good to hear that you are so happy.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a fun day together! Congratulations! and I agree with you.. marriage our first year was AWESOME... and it keeps getting better. so its not a newly wed thing... Its more you guys just love each other and your personalities are perfect for each other.. unless since its only been 3 years I am still considered a newly wed.... and we have a kid!! Miss you and LOVE the flowers too...some of my favorite!

Everyone talks about how hard it is and how much you have to change and all the new crazy things you learn about your husband and whenever I hear that I'm like...what?? That wasn't how our first year was at all! Glad to know we're not the only ones :)
